Can we please modify the motion detect trigger to use only the Cam Plus events. I want to be able to turn on my outside lights only when a person or vehicle is detected. Just doing general motion forces the lights on and off way to much (i don’t care that a fly buzzed across the camera)… without being able to create a a trigger to this level of detail makes the CAM Plus subscription useless.
Love my wyze watch 47mm. There has been something that I have been thinking about for a long time, you’ve started to expand shortcut actions for the shortcut buttons on the watch but in my opinion you could extend the functionality of the watch greatly by adding a shortcut for an expanded ecosystem via IFTTT. Similar to the button widget for ifttt you push it as a trigger to basically whatever ifttt recipe you want to trigger. With minimal dev effort you guys could open up a wealth of triggered actions for the watch, leaving it open ended to the user community to figure out some really good ifttt actions to take when triggered (think force phone to buzz, or ring, or even take a picture or call an uber or [insert all the thing ifttt can do]. Stretch goal would be supporting other ecosystems too (azure logic apps for example).
You also support up to 10 shortcuts i believe at one time so think of the wealth of things people could do with the extended button set, all again with minimal dev time required on your side wyze!
Thanks in advance, big fan of your whole ecosystem of products. Tell the team they all deserve to pat themselves on the back for building the brand to the point that its got fans of whatever you put out!
Person detection would be very helpful. Use case: set up IFTTT to turn on the lights or sound the alarm when there is person detection at night time. Assumption: this only works with those that have purchased camplus.
I use IFTTT that when my camera senses motion, it turns the bulb on. It works great but there’s one thing that it does not do. I can not automate the process to turn off after say…. 5 minutes. I manually have to go into my app and turn it off otherwise it will stay on.
Another example I’d like to do, if this ever gets implemented. If you’d have an auto off after XXX minutes, I’d like have a lamp on in my living room all night on a very dim setting. But when the camera senses motion it would go 100% bright……When no motion is sensed (again using a timer after 5 minutes) the light goes dim again.
I use https://www.apilio.com/ to accomplish that task. I don’t use the camera for motion sense because I don’t want the lights coming on for just anything. V1 motion sense has worked well for me for that. But Apilio will handle the delay and turn things back off.
And I’m looking forward to when more IFTTT triggers are available. Especially V2 motion sense, and Cam Plus person detection.
Would want the Climate Sensor to be added to the list of products in IFTTT. Along with the ability that if my climate sensors register say below 67 degrees in one of the bedrooms then it would tell the Thermostat to switch to heat mode and set it to 71 degrees. Or increase the temp up 2 degrees.
Would be great to install a wyze smart button inside to open the door by pressing a button.
We all know, that it’s quite “hard” to open manually and you don’t want to take your phone out of your pocket when leaving the house.
Pleaaaaase add IFTTT functionality for Wyze V2 sensors I would buy so many but as they are, they just aren’t very useful in my smart home. Is the status of this possible feature addition still completely up in the air?
Add “priority” triggers (notifications that can maybe make a sound even when the phone is on vibrate or have a more pronounced notification in some way OR at the very least be able to filter out the ones I consider non priority) and be able to specify by camera and control them in the rules/schedule
What I mean by this is I don’t care to wake up if someone walks by the sidewalk on my front yard camera, or that it sees me walk from the garage on my way home from work in the back yard camera, or if a cat walks by in the middle of the night, but at 4am if a person is seen with my back yard I want to wake up for it.
Also I would like a trigger for the app to notify me if it sees that a camera goes offline whether that is from someone unplugging my camera or power/internet outage.
Yeah I would love a smart button from wyze. But actually you might be able to do this with a wyze switch. I cant test it as I dont have a door lock from wyze. But from initial thoughts it should be able to do that.
Provide necessary info to IFTTT for all applicable devices.
Surely providing the necessary information to IFTTT is a simple, and should almost be an automatic procedure when Wyze introduces a new product.
I recently bought leak sensors and was worse than surprised to find that these are not included in the IFTTT list.
Wishlist item is that Wyze goes through the device list and sends IFTTT the necessary info for the leak sensors and any others that have not yet been given to IFTTT.
Home Monitoring triggers and actions: system armed/disarmed (all three modes), countdown started, alarm set off, I guess there might be a liability concern with enabling or disabling the alarm with an action, but using those changes as triggers is a no-brainer.
Would allow you to make all the smart bulbs in your house start flashing during an alarm, which for many homes would draw a lot more outside attention than the audible alarm (and would probably double as a great accessibility option for hearing-impaired people).
I would like to request that all AI assessed detection classes (person, package, car, etc) should each individually be addressed in the ifttt interface. I have my cameras pointed at the street and there are dozens of cars that drive by per hour that I wish to ignore, but very very few people should ever walk by… as it stands there’s no way to differentiate at present once in ifttt.
