Web view was released the end of Nov 2018, so how is it still considered early beta in Dec 2021?
Web View was announced for public beta consumption on November 23, 2021.
Why is it that sound triggered event videos are available for download through Webview, but motion triggered event videos are NOT able to be downloaded through Webview?
Web VIew is in early beta testing. As a beta product, Web View is a work in progressā¦ i.e., itās not a finished product.
My bad, I read the 2018 on the page as the post date.
I do find it of no use in its present state. Having to log in every time the page refreshes makes it a non-starter.
I agree and I donāt use it in its current state. I need continuous monitoring and the ability to tailor my view to specific cams. It will get thereā¦ no idea when though. Until then, Iām using repurposed Android tablets displaying cam groups in landscape mode.
I have gotten web view to stay connected a little better by using a Chrome extension called Always Active Window. If I do not diminish the page, I can come back to it and do not need to log in. I onlly use Chrome for this purpose, I use Firefox for all other browser needs. Also, I am on Linux Mint Mate, so I do not know how well this will work on Windows.
I am in the middle of moving, so will not be trying RTSP firmware for a while.
Thanks for the tips.

Wyze Web View for ANY Subscription Customer
I decided to stick with Wyze and pay for the Cam Plus Lite service for my 3 cams. I have no issue with supporting them, but I hope to see the addition of Cam Plus Lite support for the web live stream view. I feel that anybody paying for service with Wyze should be able to view their cams even if itās just the Lite service.
Voted, however that is a potentially contentious point since not everyone on Lite is paying for it.
I did not see a category for āWyze Web Viewā, so Iāll post in the category of āCamerasā
When I have my VPN running (PIA) on my Windows 11 PC, using Google Chrome, I get the following after providing my email and password, and clicking on all the boxes for pics for the kaptcha:
I drop by VPN, and it works just fine.
I add the IP address as an exception in the VPN client for view.wyze.com as well as the IP address for wyze.com. It still gives me the āadblockerā error message.
I can live with bypassing VPN using the split tunnel feature of my VPN provider, but apparently Iām not providing valid IP Addresses for that purpose, to use https://view.wyze.com

I would like to have the ability to right click, save a snapshot and/or the full Video while in Web View.
Also having the WCOās available in Live View has no value:
Especially when you have eight WCOās:
Has there been any changes to Web View since it was initially rolled out? I donāt recall seeing any updates/changes since the first rollout.
Will Web View ever support Firefox?
I still think that the Web Interface should have the same functionality as the App on my iPhone/IPad/Android Device.

I made, for personal usage, a chrome extension with a few features, including:
- stay logged in or relog if fail,
- ability to move, resize, remove camera,
- ability to add non wyze camera (temporary, it doesnāt save, RSTP only)
- ability to take snapshot and record video
If you/other might like this, I can polish it up and release it on the chrome extension store. Iām just not sure how wyze would react to it, I donāt want my ass getting sued or anything xD
I kind of like that idea, i will pass it along
I would tend to agree also, as long as they are not supported leave them off and free up real estate.
I believe there has been but I am unsure what. I will see what I can find out
I hope so, many people use it. What is the current problem when you try to use Firefolx?
I am not sure what the end goal of WebView is but I can see where that would be handy
Yes a screen capture feature would be nice but you can save a snapshot. Go to full screen, press Print Screen and paste it into another program and save it.
Live view of supported cameraās just 'spin"

That lets me know that they know about the issue. I will see if I can track down where they are with a resolution
Iād be happy to try your extension!
Ditto!

Whenever visting view.wyze.com it always shows the site, shows a little āredirecting to login pageā, then shows the site again, even if your already logged in.
Not a problem, but when your fixing the login stuff mentioned above that process could probably be streamlined.
Especially when you have slow internet like myself.
I actually gave up on the chrome extension (I could still release it but wonāt update further)
There is simply too many limitation. I instead started to reverse my wyze cameras, and I am building a mobile/web app for full control. I even managed to set up a rules system so I can code more actions than they allow. The only downside is that itās all done locally and not cloud. Iāll post more about this soon!
