Hey JD. That feature should already be available. open the app and go to the second tab called “Devices”, You can reorder them on this screen by clicking, holding and dragging. When youre done, refresh your webpage in the browser and the order should be the same as the device tab. I tested it myself to be sure.
New Web Event with improvements ever happen?
When will the Wyze Web Events web page get more featres, especially like being able to download events from a SD card or from the Wyze cloud?
It’s nice to be able to view the specific events, but would also be nice to be able to do a download of them to our PC.
What’s the hold up on doing this?
i vote for adding the option to download footage from the web site events page.
the app sucks so bad trying to download footage as it will freeze or close on you and you have to start scrolling, and scrolling, and scrolling, to get back to where you were. it will take hours to download less than an our of footages.
the website does not not freeze and close out and you can get to the footage times in one time of scrolling, only to find out you can not download from the website. this really needs to be an option.
i am really considering going back to alegacy dvr system, as it is much faster to find and download the needed footage.
I don’t see this mentioned in the initial post’s master list, but I want to be able to filter Wyze Web Events in the same way I can filter Events in the app, including groups. I do see this in the list:
This should include filters for camera groups, as well. When filtering Web Events, I’d like to be able to select a predetermined group that I’ve already created in the app.
We definitely need consistency of features and functionality between mobile app and web view. local SD card playback/download is not available on the web which is frustrating having to rely on mobile app.
Bring back the ability to show more than 4 cameras on the web view
Everyday I load the live web app to view my cameras. I used to be able to see 9 cameras at once on my 16:9 screen. Now with the new “update” I can only view 4 per page. That’s terrible, a lot of wasted space. I need the option to view all 9 at once, otherwise the live web app is useless to me!
And how long do/would those 9 cameras play continuously?
No matter how many or few I bring up, within minutes they start freezing or disconnect, which makes it pretty useless as well.
I’ve had the 9 cameras open for as long as 9 hours with no issues
There seems to be a problem with multiple cam types open at the same time.
If I have all v3s, v3Pros, v4, each group open with only that type, it seems to work much longer, but as soon as you mix them, problems.
It would be nice if the WebView had ways of saving groups to choose to view, not having to go down the list and picking and choosing every cam you want to see every time you want to make a change.
Apparently that’s one of the new changes. It’s also mentioned in the “What’s new” article but is limited to 4 (or fewer) Cams per group/page, sort of like how the app allows views of only ≤4 Cams in a camera group view or on the Monitoring tab.
Well I dont even see the new page for webview now that I look at that!
I still have all cams come up.
I have refreshed my browser, is there a new address or something?
I think it may be a phased implementation and depend on which server you happen to hit, but that’s just speculation on my part. Some other users in Wyze web live - WHAT HAPPENED? are reporting that they aren’t yet seeing the change on some PCs. ![]()
I also haven’t seen the new UI show up when I’ve logged in, for whatever that’s worth.
Still on the old site where I can see 26 at a time.
But adding a floodlight pro throws a monkey wrench into things.
I don’t look fwd to only 4 at a time when I can see 9 at a time, and scroll through more all streaming at once.
I agree. I don’t keep mine on, but as I am mostly at my computer I open often to check. I also don’t like the new method of switching between live and events. WHO decides this stuff? I’m guessing you people come in and like to take control so they make changes. Not all changes are good.
Jeff, I too have kept the Web Portal open for several hours without any issues. I have a mixed camera setup as well and I do not experience the problems that you are describing. I would guess it has something to do with how far the cameras are from the router, the speed of the broadband connection, the strength of the wifi signal, interference from nearby wifi network’s signals or other electrical interference, the number of devices currently online using the network, etc.
As for the reduced functionality of the new Web Portal, the new restriction of limiting to 4 cams or less . . . It is just terrible. I now have 6 cams but no real way to view them or monitor them site wide or as a whole in real time. The Web Portal has become as limiting and as useless as the app on the phone. I am surprised Wyze felt it wise to take subscriber’s money and then proceed to suddenly reduce functionality and COMPLETELY remove the ability to monitor your installed cams all in one place.
After some extensive testing, it turns out that there is a problem with one model cam (floodlight pro) that seems to affect other cams losing their connection when it is connected. When one (I have 3) connects to my U6-LR access points, it messes up the others when it is added to the cams in webview.
When I force them to connect to my U7-Pro-Max’s, they do somewhat better. The pro max’s have a 2.5 gig backhaul, and more capabilities than the 6’s do, so I have bit the bullet and ordered some more pro-max’s to make sure all my access points are the same.
They all work, even at the same time, best, if a tab only has the same type camera connected to that view.
I think they all have different compression, etc, and the pages seem to like all the same on one.
But I have 29 cams trying to display at the same time.
Going to another page, and comming back, most are disconnected and have to re-connect.
