Welcome to the community, @CordCutter. The Wyze motion sensors are optimized and intended for indoor use only. Using them outside will probably not behave as you would expect outdoor PIR sensors to function. However, Wyze is developing an outdoor camera with PIR. You can read about and discuss it in this thread if you wish.
