90 Days 100 times a day

How many times a day do I have to tell Events on a browser to trust it for the next 90 days?

How often do you use Incognito mode, clear your browser’s cookies, or browse through a VPN?

Naw …I don’t use all that…that I know of

What about an ad/cookie blocker like Ublock? That will do it.

I don’t usually have a problem with that and the Wyze Web Portal. Using uBlock Origin Lite in Chrome and uBlock Origin in Firefox (and without creating special exceptions for the wyze.com domain or anything like that), I find that I have to reauthenticate with my username and password on a frequent basis (new browser session, etc.), but I don’t have to give the 2FA code every time when I’m using a normal browser session and not intentionally blowing away the cookies.

I was also wondering about things like CCleaner or other utilities that clear cookies, because I think @Brewskie is probably experiencing a cookie-related issue, but it’s difficult to tell without more detail about the operating environment.

Yeah there are obviously plenty of variants of ad/cookie blockers. Ublock tends to work fine with “remember this device” but I do have a few sites I had to create an exception for. But other blockers or cleanup tools can be more intrusive/problematic.

Most browsers also have a built in “strictness” setting for cookies so having that set higher than default could interfere too. Some also have the option to delete your data on browser close and that could impact it too.

Yeah, there are a lot of potential variables with this one—including the in-browser “strictness” that you mention, so I think that’s a good call—and I didn’t get much of an answer when I asked about browser use in another topic. Without more detail about the operating environment, it’s difficult to determine the cause of the particular issue in this instance. :man_shrugging:
