In Firefox, I log on to https://view.wyze.com and get prompted Trust this device for 90 days, I click on Trust This Device, then provide the Two-Factor Authentication Code, then Continue.
I can exit, then site, log back in, and I’m prompted again.
Anyone aware of a setting in Firefox that might be contributing to this issue?
Yes, if you are in permanent private browsing mode, then cookies and site data will always be cleared when Firefox is closed. Reboots do that to me a lot, because I keep Firefox open otherwise. Cookies is where Wyze keeps that 90-day info.
Are you aware of any other causes? I am on a fresh install of Firefox, with no permanent browsing mode or other oddities enabled. I still have to login each time and select “Trust this device”. I do this daily and it’s starting to get annoying. I would use Chrome, works great there, but am upset with the direction that browser is heading and am trying to stay away from Chromium based browsers.
Hey everyone, finally looked this up after like a year of it happening and once I realized it was firefox only, i figured out the problem (at least, i think). Just go to the shield next to the address bar at the top and turn off enhanced tracking protection. I only just now tried it but i was able to close the site and reopen it multiple times without it prompting me to log in.
just an FYI enhanced tracking stops sites from tracking you across the internet. If you are ever having issues with a site that works on chrome, turn it off and see if that fixes it. It’s a great feature to have but can cause problems because so many websites are dependent on this type of tracking.
