This is a pain. How do I enable cookies on iPad using Firefox. All online help is irrelevant and ready to unsubscribe. Why does the app even have access to my browser?
As for why, It’s actually really common for apps to leverage a mobile feature called “Webview” within the app. Most people just don’t know that the app is using a form of the browser. Wyze particularly uses it for authentication/OAuth.
I mentioned a little bit about it in these threads:
I don’t like Apple Much, so someone else may be able to chime in about the how or confirm the following, but I’m told this works:
- Open the Firefox app on your iPad.
- Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines or “hamburger” icon) in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings from the menu.
- Navigate to the Privacy section.
- Under Tracking Protection, disable Enhanced Tracking Protection. This will allow cookies, including third-party cookies, to be enabled.
