$7.98 per month Unlimited Cam Plus offer?

Recently,
I’ve seen n I get pop-ups, for a Cam+ offer.

It reads, “$7.99 per month for unlimited cam plus” .

I currently have, a few monthly Cam+ subs n others are already, pd up for a yr.

If I take the offer (if I can find it again), do I get a rebate on my pre paid yrly subscriptions ?

Thx !

Probably not. I’m pretty sure Wyze eliminated subscription refunds last year.

Good thing you asked… Just confirmed on the Support site. Some examples:

At the bottom of this page: What happens to my existing plans if I subscribe to the unlimited plan?

Wyze Services are considered non-refundable. No pro-rated refunds will be issued for any unused time. Refunds for in-app purchases through the Google Play Store will be based on Google’s refund policy.

And at the bottom of this page: How do I cancel my Wyze subscription

Important: Your subscription will stay active till the end of the pay period and no prorated refunds will be issued. It will not auto-renew.

All subscriptions are non-refundable. We are not able to provide refunds for unused subscriptions.

It’s also described in Supplemental Terms for CAM PLUS SERVICE.

Because of the Wyze Policy  on subscriptions, if you are considering moving from multiple individual Cam Plus subscriptions over to Cam Plus Unlimited (Last I checked, at the normal CPU price, the break even was at or above 5 cams), it is best to wait until just before the first cam subscription is set to expire, purchase CPU, unassign old and reassign new sub, then cancel all the old single subs. You will still be writing off all the time left on the remaining single subs, but it will save $$ in the long run as you can then install a ton of new cams at no additional subscription cost.

But, if the extra 27¢ per month savings (Annual Unlimited is $99 = $8.25/mo) is what you really want, you can take the offer and do that now.

I think it depends on how many already-paid-for annual subscriptions he has and when they expire.

Correct. That’s a personal financial math comparison that everyone will have to make on their own, especially if individual sub renewal dates are all over the calendar. That’s why I mentioned the 5 cam break even point. Picking the best date to do it is critical to minimize paid subscription loss. But, if all the individual subs expire in a relatively close time period, it makes the timing decision a lot easier. If pending cam expansion or a current high individual sub count is one of the motivators though, moving to CPU is really a no brainier in the long run. The hard part is when. I don’t consider a 27¢ per month savings with the current promotion as that much of a motivator to do it immediately.
