56 total Wyze devices; Not a rant, but not entirely satisfied with Wyze, Mostly the Cam Pan v3's

Wasn’t completely sure where to post this. I’m well invested in Wyze products. I’ve slowly accumulated all my devices over that past 5 years and would have to say that overall I’m 90% satisfied. Of those 56 there are 34 various cams. They are all outdoors but under cover. They are good for security purposes but mostly used for wildlife. I am finding that the oldest four cam v1’s still seem to work the best, most reliable. I actually have them in my crawlspace watching for critters. They are plugged into wyze plugs so I can restart them easily(hardly need to) without getting down there.

The most problems I have are with my 10 cam pan v3’s. Most work fine MOST of the time, but randomly lose connection, or more often now the SD cards stop working. On any given day, randomly 2 of the 10 won’t connect live view or stop recognizing the sd cards. I have them set to record continuously. I’m seeing a lot of similar complaints here in support about them. I THINK that most of these problems are on Wyze’s server side, not my network side but I have no proof of that. I restart the cams when necessary and they will usually come back fully online with no further probs. Later in the day or the next 2 more may do the same thing. I have replaced some of the sd cards. Even the 2 wyze brand 128’s stopped working. It does get frustrating. Most are powered from regular length power cables from the wyze provided power adapters, but a couple are powered from the usb outlet on base stations, which work fine as far as I know. A couple are powered from wyze lamp sockets. 2 are powered via 20’ usb extension cables. I wonder if these may be too long for voltage required.

Never have any problems with 6 wyze plugs or 2 outdoor plugs. I got them as a way to easily restart base stations or cams. They are always online. Same with 4 color bulbs and 1 wht bulb. Love them.

I have a wyze watch which works fine. The wyze buds I use do not reliably stay in my ears. They only give about 4 hours on a full charge. They’ve fallen out while being active outdoors numerous times. I’ve tried Raycons but they do the same and don’t have an app. So sticking with my buds for now.

Can’t wait for RTSP to become a permanent thing. I’ve played with raspberry pi cams and Motioneye with RTSP and while slow they were reliable.
