3.0 is a Consumer Failure!

I now changed to a more separate zone (6 hours of difference) and seems it worked. It is still showing in 12 hours format while the OS is set to 24 hours, but time seems to be ok.

It came back, I mean the wrong time in notifications. So I believe it has to do with automatic time zone.

Just wondering if your router also has the incorrect time zone/offset. Can you check?

I have not liked them since they added starlight I have street lights outside they worked perfect till starlight

Exactly. And to make it easier, I just “favorited” all my cameras, to separate them from the other Wyze devices (which I can still see, under the “devices” tab). Took all of a minute to do.

Same here.

…or not experience…

Hijacking John’s complaint. I like having a lock frame of the last action on all the cameras page as it was in 2.5 . The new version immediately tried to take all cameras live. Still on 2.5 here but a friend has the 3.0 and hates it as well

It seems less usable than before because while you can set up camera groups, it still displays the full set of installed cameras in linear fashion on the phone, instead of hiding cameras in deselected groups. All it does when deselecting the group is to turn off the streaming from the cameras.
Still need to scroll down through them all, and I happen to have a large number of cameras just because.
It should hide the deselected cameras, especially because it’s lost the ability for a 4 in 1 display of multiple cameras.

Oh, exploring further, it looks like I just need to not use the favorites tab, and stick to Devices. Then I can place the groups up top, and then just click on them as before to display only those cameras in the group. That works for me-

I hate this new WYZE app. I use mine to control a bunch of plugs and switches, and now can’t even hardly find them, plus it takes multiple clicks to even turn something on or off instead of it just being there ready to tap on the main screen. I also liked having the last image my cameras saw right there on the screen, so I could decide if I needed to look at the footage or not. I don’t care about a constant live feed. If I want to see something live, that was super simple, just tap it. but yeah, lets make the whole app harder to use.

Am I able to disable the live stream feature?
Why is it when I click on any plug group in “favorites” all of the plugs turn on/off?
How do I organize my devices in “Devices”?

I’m sorry if this is rude, but this app seems to be much worse than the one I was using.

Not helpful in the least. Anyone can figure out in 3 seconds how to highlight the star or not. Plus IDK what the rest of the paragraph is, it’s just cut off at “but, t…”

Click the little ‘down carat’ to see the rest

This is just a screenshot of the original post.

You can move groups and devices around to your hearts content on Favorites. Just put your finger on the device or group and drag it to where you want.

This was pointed out during the beta. On a group of plugs or Outlets, clicking on the group turns them on or off, but the little right arrow opens the group. Whereas camera groups are just the opposite - clicking on the group opens the group and the little power symbol turns the group on or off. Should be consistent.

If a plug or outlet is in a group, open the group and click on the device. If the plug or outlet is NOT in a group, simply click on it. This is EXACTLY the way it was in the previous app.

If the goal was to silence detractors of the old app then mission accomplished. The old app definitely had its shortcomings, but the new one is so much worse. Were the UX designers on vacation? Nothing intuitive about it. Mostly stumbling around in the dark touching things hoping for one result and getting something completely different.
