So I’ve been a Wyze camera user since 2019. Inspired by the potential of smart camera Capability & teased by AI. So I was a cam plus subscriber from the start currently an unlimited subscriber but I’m done. Too many premises no real results. Tired of responding to waving tree shadows & flashing lights 90+% of alerts a false. The wife made me turn off Alexa alerts. LOL now you want to charge 259 for descriptive alerts of waving trees identified as a person……nah

Cam Unlimited Pro is $199.99 per year.

When I first discovered Wyze, they were pioneers in working on local storage. Long before Cam Plus. Short version, they stopped working on local storage, though many of us fussed at them. Last year, I gave up on paying anyone for my video. I tried Reolink and didn’t like their storage, NVR and keeping it on a screen. Took it all back. And I tied Eufy. Some cams worked, some did not. Keep the ones that work and sold the other.
And after a two year wait from announcement day, I got the Tapo H500 hub ($130). Local storage with 16 GB, and you add a 2.5” drive to get you as much TB as you wanna buy. But the best part, its got an HDMI port and you can fee it to a large screen, and monitor what the camera sees. I’ve got half a dozen $30 cameras rotating/swapping screen to a 32 inch monitor. Finally, local storage, large screen to view, and decent cams. Their C120 is more like a V3, but watching for a 4K or 8K soon. And no more annual fees.
Only reporting this, because some folks need to know there are options.
Oh, and since Wyze is not moving fast enough to HA. And my Wyze stuff is not showing up, I am moving from Wyze motion sensors and lights. Tapo is Matter compliant.
That’s for people who order the subscriptions through Wyze directly. If they order through Apple and Google (ie: through the app instead of the website), then Apple and Google charge around a 30% “convenience” fee for it going through their app store. So OP is saying that they are ordering through Apple/Google (the app) instead of through Wyze (website).
I’ve been satisfied with just Cam Unlimited so far. It’s half the cost.
I might get CUPro eventually, but I hesitate since it will cancel HMS and CPLire.
