Hi I understand that you made a 12 sec limit for people who are using your free cloud service but why restrict customers, like myself, who are using sd card? Why do we have that 12 sec punishment? because to me 12 sec record limit is like a punishment. Why not give us customizable options.
Is there any plan to change the record limit in the near future?
On a positive note, for the price, I do like the camera a lot.
The 12 second alert video clips sent to the cloud are completely independent of the SD card recordings. There is no limit for the SD card video, other than the size of the card.
Recording to the SD card can be done either continuously or only when motion is detected. This is set up in the Advanced section of the camera’s settings page.
What made you think the SD card video was limited to 12 second clips?
I didn’t know that even if I was using a sd card the cloud is still active, I know I can record constantly on sd card but it would be more easier if I could set the record event in advanced settings for a minute or whatever duration I want on my local storage…it is not that easy to find an event on the view playback on the camera. I know I can swipe out a section with my fingers to focus on a time slot but it is annoying and time consuming to find someting, at least to me, without any indication of where it occurred in that section. This is not my first camera (just saying), I do have other sec cameras and for example my Nest has a green or red dot to indicate that it where it occured in the recording.

If you set the SD card recording to “event only”, then only one minute intervals that contain motion will be saved and they will be marked on the timeline with green shading.
I believe there are improvements planned for the timeline marking. I don’t know the timing of release of those improvements.

At this time, there is no way to change the on-screen clock from real time (24 hour clock) to idiotic AM/PM (12 hour clock).
I think everybody dislikes the Captcha. I heard a rumor that they may eliminate it for people after some number of “real” posts. No hard data on that…
