Has anyone noticed that we can’t zoom in on the cameras to see up close certain areas that its filming? This has been this way since the latest update. I need to be able to zoom in and out.
How can I rectify this or go back to the prior update. I’ve talked to someone at Wyze and they were unable to help, said I was with Beta but I cannot find beta listed on my account.
If you are using the cam in live view and something is causing movement turn on smart focus by tapping it. If the live view has no movement and smart focus is off just tap the screen twice hard with your finger, works on my V3 Pro. Tap screen again to get it to return to normal view. If the smart focus has a little green box it is **on, ** but it only works in live view.last screen shot.
This is regular view.
Screen tapped twice.
Smart focus on- see little green box.
Basically what I use to be able to do was go to my live video feed the use two fingers to zoom in, it will not do that anymore, and tapping it now just turns the screen black.
Mine also works using the two finger zoom. Maybe you should restart the camera or make sure your app is up to date? I’m using iOS on an iPhone and iPad and they both work.
Restarting didn’t work This all began right after the recent update so I figured it was the update, its happening with all three of my cameras.
The latest beta does have this issue on V3 cameras. Known and in progress.
I’m having the same problem exactly. Won’t zoom in with my V3s and if I double tap the screen turns black. Tried all the usual recommendations. Hopefully it’s fixed quickly.
Another thread here on the forum says that the newest beta that is being released today fixes that.
You are awesome!!! Thank you!!!
I see that this topic is marked as “solved”, however I still have this issue. Everything says it’s up to date, but I cannot zoom, there is no button to turn camera light on and no button to turn screen into landscape. Are there any more updates coming or is it my camera’s issue?
In the “new” User Interface (which the V3 Pro uses - and always has), a single tap on the image will bring up the controls to turn the camera spotlight on or off, set the resolution, turn the microphone and speaker on or off, and force it to rotate to landscape (even if the phone screen is still in portrait mode). And just like all other Wyze cameras, pinch out on the screen to zoom in or pinch in to zoom out.
Does that not work for you?
On my V4 camera, if I turn the smart focus off it allows zooming again.
