Can no longer Double Click on camera viewing to ZOOM in on video

After the latest app release v3.7.6

My Cam v3 prior to this latest app release, I was able to double click on the live view screen, and zoom into the video.

The other interface updates ( which seem to only show, when your camera is part/joined to Wyze’s service subscription, as my other Wyze cams, that are not assigned to Wyze subscription, still have the old, WORKING zoom in feature, and older/prior viewing Cam app interface

Wyze please fix the latest softwre release, and again allow zooming in, on the live video feed.

I have seen this even on camera’s added to Cam Plus or Cam Unlimited. To zoom with the new interface, you need to Pinch Out to Zoom in and Pinch in to Zoom out. The double tap now brings up the cameras Events to the right of the live stream.

Not sure if you were aware of this.

I use MuMu android emulator, on my PC, and have always been able to use the mouse and double click on the live view, to zoom in. I wouldn’t be able to pinch, unless I replaced my desktop monitors with touch screens.

Wyze needs to add back the Mouse “Double Click” function, in the programming code.

Is the way I see it

Keep in mind, Mouse “Double Click” zoom function/code,

still works on all my cam’s that are not part of the Wyze subscription.

Did not know that. Sometimes, if you scroll your mouse wheel maybe with the Alt or Shift or Ctl key, it will zoom in or out. Something to try.

But I do agree, double tap was nice and worked well. I was surprised when I first saw it.

I tried with the Alt key, Shift Key, and Ctl,

still no zoom on the cam that is assigned to the Wyze service,

Cams that are assigned to the Wyze subscription have the NEW cam interface

Cams that are not assigned have the previous interface, ( where ZOOM into live view still works)

Double tap still works om my Samsung. Sometimes I also just drag down on that little gray bar under the live feed, which does the same thing. For me.

The Updated interface cam interface is for those cams that are assigned to the Wyze monthly paid service

Cams that are not part of the monthly service, still have to privous version that eveyone is accustomed to….and ZOOM works on those no matter what cam model.

Zoom doesn’t work, on the new cam interface, that was just released for cam’s that ARE part of the Wyze paid monthly service.

I also now see the other new feature

Smart Focus button/option when viewing live view from the cam that is assigned to the Wyze monthly service.

The new “Smart Focus” seems pretty useless,

As when activated, its like it it scans around the Live View image viewing,

but doesn’t find/focus on anything relavent …

Example,. the Smart Focus, when activated, with the cam that I have facing the street, for some reason, it likes focusing on the street even as cars are passing by.

It’s Wyze’s AI implementation to Smart Focus…needs work

I wont be using it anyway, As I try to disable, not use, or remove ANYTHING AI,

the software companies ( Micosoft Windows too, soon forcing AI app on eveyone next month)

AI brings LOTS of risks, to ones personal security, and also to businesses.

Companies want to rish and push it on everyone, and they are doing it already.

All of these work.V4s, OGs, OG tele, and Pan V3s. On Samsung S24 Ultra. One ui8, Android 16.

Zoom into live view, does not work ( using mouse with MuMu Adnroid emulator) for THOSE cameras

that are assigned to Wyze Cam subsciption

Zoom DOES work, for those cams, that are NOT assigned to the Wyze Cam subscription

Cameras that are assigned to the Wyze cam subscription, Use the NEW cam interface

Wyze cams, that are NOT assigned to the Wzye Cam subscription still use the previous/standard live view interface.

Overall, its not an Android Emulator issue, as the cams that I dont have assigned to the Wyze subscription, Can still Zoom in, when I double click with my mouse,

Cams that ARE assigned to the Wyze Cam subscription, receive the NEW interface, CANNOT zoom into the live view anymore when double clicking the mouse pointer on the Live view image/stream.

Overall its the Wyze change/update in the latest software app build, in the program code, that has caused the issue

I have not looked into if the Mumu android emulator offers that feature.

Overall, all my other 8 cams, I can stil zoom in on live feeds, as those 8 cams, are not under the Wyze monthly subscription plan.

The 1 cam that is under the monthly subscription plan, has the NEW app cam viewing interface.
And that is the only cam (v3) I cannot zoom in by double clicking the mouse, ( which it worked fine prior to the new app release/update.

I am just going wait until Wyze fixes it.

I dont want to have to find news ways to do things,

that have worked perfectly fine prior to the app update.

And still works fine for the other 8 cams, that are not under the Wyze Monthly subscription.

BlueStacks 5 on Windows, ctrl-scroll_wheel works to zoom-in if click central face of stream first then scroll. It doesn’t zoom-out by scroll_wheeling (the other way) from zoomed-in, however. Instead, it scrubs vertically on the zoomed-in stream. Return to standard view by double-clicking.

Thank you, I had started using your recommendation…..

IT works!

Use to be able to just double click, to zoom.

But I will take what I can get, maybe they will resort back to the Double Click with the next update.
