You've got mail! Wyze Contact Sensor installed in mailbox

I feel you.

I ended up moving the camera with the bridge about 6ft closer to the mailbox and it now reads that it is open or closed.

As for changing the battery, as long as you can reach along the side, use the little tab key they sent you (looks like a diamond with a stick on one corner) and pop it apart. A little tough at first but afterwards it separates easier. No need to unstick it from box.

And for batteries buy in bulk for the contact and motion sensors. Watch out for when the remaining power is in red, you may have to re-pair it again.

Thats good to know. I made the mistake of using the adhesive tape it came with but i can buy more… and ill snag some more batteries… thanks for the reply! I was really hoping the sensor as its a bit easier just to pop it in the back of the mailbox would work… at least the contact sensors do the job.

I have been looking for a long time for something like this BUT I need one that will work at least 1/4 mile away as that is where our mailbox is at the end of our road. So maybe as Wyze is working on issues they can tackle that one too :grinning:

Well, it’s ā€œinside"the mailbox. So is my warranty ok? It’s the mailbox that’sā€ outside".
