Yes! We'll take that!

Well, it was a nice camera …

Were you able to find the camera?

Nope. I cut the video short, but he carried it away, until it apparently was out of WiFi range. It hasn’t “checked in” again, yet.

This is what happened immediately before …

You should pixelate that. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I was dying laughing at these videos.

FYI, something you could potentially do to try to narrow down where it went to:

Set your phone to “Hotspot” mode, and set the hotspot SSID and password to match your home router internet. Then walk around the neighborhood slowly and see if the BCPro connects to the hotspot (keep checking with another phone). If it does, you’re close to where he dropped it, and you could potentially triangulate where it is by walking around and watching the -dBm changes for how strong the signal is to that device when it shows up.

You could seriously probably find it if he didn’t take it too far. I think that’s a reasonable possibility since it’s not food and is completely useless to Wile-E.

Just a thought. It’s what I would probably try.

That is a clever and excellent idea! I will try that!

@carverofchoice, I like it! Now I’m eager to see if it works and if @bushpilot will be able to post a “success” update.

Here is the “final” clip before it went offline.

He thought the cam was a Road Runner ACME product. :joy:

Well, unfortunately my very cheap phone plan does not allow hotspot. Oh well …

I am tempted to go out there with a battery, inverter, and my router. But it is raining, and I am not going wandering in the woods lugging all that.

omg - all these are just making me laugh

I was bracing myself for what one of the coyotes from my local pack does somewhat frequently:

I have two BCPros on the ground right now, with solar panels, and multiple WCO’s on the ground as well.

I had a WCOv2 go missing off the block wall down the hill, I looked for it for a few months, then gave up on it. Common sense would say it fell down the hill… Later, I found it somewhere on the hill in a place I’d never of thought it would end up (gardners?, Racoons?). I didn’t get the cool video footage you got with your robbery

I currently have this ‘rig’ setup on a lower hill block wall to see if there is any wild life in the field behind my house to compare a WCOv2 to a BCPro, hopefully it’s ‘too big’ for them to attempt to grab and go with:

Perhaps an apple to redirect them to it, and save your camera

Impressive rig. I also like your dark sky. I live too close to the big city.
