Wyzecam Micro SD Card History And View Playback Question

I have two wyzecam 2 cameras. One of the cameras I’m the owner and I share it with two people who I created accounts for a while back. I have the Cam Lite Plus that is for free but those accounts don’t have it.
I have another wyzecam that is for myself and only I’m the person who views it.

I know that I could view back the events for the last 14 days on the cloud. I do have a 32gb microsd card connected to it. I always record continuously if it’s on. This is with both wyzecams.

With the wyzecam that I share with two people, can they view the playback or not on their iPhone? I can view it on my iPhone if I go back to a certain day. Since they are not the account holder, can they do that? Can they view the 12 second events? I assume they can view the playback if they remove the micro SD card and connect it to a micro SD card reader?

No, not the SD card playback.

The cloud events, yes, last time I checked, cam plus lite still allowed shared users to view the 12-second cloud events.

Yes

The thing is they don’t have cam lite plus accounts. Only my wyzecam login account has. But you are saying they can view the 12 second cloud events because me being the owner of the camera and who have Cam lite plus for free means they can view it?

I’m a bit confused why there is conflicting information between the first line and last one you mention? I understand the last line but what you mean not the SD card playback? You mean not on their phone right because they are not the owner and don’t have cam lite plus right?

Correct. At least that is how it worked when I shared my cameras to secondary accounts that did not have cam plus lite. I believe it is still the same or we would have heard some outrage posts. But, the reason I keep hedging about a solid confirmation that that is the case is because some of the more recent comparison charts that Wyze has put up on their website indicates they were reserving a “service sharing” feature As a bonus limited to the top unlimited subscription tiers. This could be indicating that they plan to stop sharing the service benefits with shared cameras if somebody doesn’t have a high enough subscription tier. But to my knowledge, nothing has changed with cloudy bent sharing for shared cameras on any subscription, so they must mean something different when they are talking about service sharing on the higher subscriptions. It’s just that right now the terminology is a little ambiguous. So, the point is that I know people that have historically been able to see the 12-second event videos when they share a camera as long as the owner has cam plus lite themselves. However, Wyze can always make changes. But for now, I believe that’s still the case for your situation. Since you have can plus lite, anyone else should be able to see the 12 second events if you have officially shared the camera to their Wyze account.

Now, the above is talking about the cloud videos saved on Wyze servers.

Video saved to the SD card are totally different. Even if you share a camera with another account, the other account cannot view the SD card recordings through their app on their account. Wyze does not support or allow that And currently has no intentions to change that. Only the official owner can view videos on the SD card through the app. If somebody else wants to view the SD card recordings, they either need to log into the account of the person who owns the cameras, or pulled the SD card out of the camera and put it in a phone or computer to read the files directly.

Even if the other person has cam plus lite, they will still not be allowed to view SD card playback videos. Nobody but the owner can ever view view videos on the SD card through the wyze app. Shared accounts are only able to view the live stream and cloud recordings stored on the Wyze servers.

Do you know if the OP can only share camera A but Not camera B if both cameras are in the same Wyze Cam Plus Lite account?

Just wondering if the two cameras need to be in separate Wyze accounts or not.

I used to share several cameras from the same CPLire account to the share shared account. I don’t think there is an imposed limit.
