WYZE V3 Pro Blue/Red Flashing LED after firmware upgrade

I have a brand new V3 Pro camera. I stepped through the “add device” function in the app and connected it to my Wifi and was then prompted to do a firmware upgrade which I proceeded with. The camera then went into a blue/red flashing mode. I deleted the device in the app and tried to add it again but everything I try fails.

If I try the “add device” function, I eventually get a message saying “cannot find the specific network name”.

If I power cycle the camera, it then goes solid red followed by flashing blue/red again.

If I hold setup for 10s as recommended the camera just goes into “ready to connect” mode, which fails.

If I hold setup for 17s, the camera then goes solid red followed by flashing red. If I then try the “add device” function, I get the same “cannot find the specific network name” again.

As a last resort, I’ve tried to reflash the firmware, but I just end up in the same situation as explained above.

Can anyone suggest a fix for the issue above??

(I have 8 wyze cams and it seems that they’re not as robust as they used to be.)

The March 2025 Firmware update probably killed it, send it back. My V3 PRO is using the October 2024 firmware and works just fine. If you get another V3 PRO don’t update the firmware later than the October 2024 version and make sure the firmware auto update for the cam is turned OFF.

Did you not recommend updating the firmware because of it being a new install? I have v3Pro’s and they all updated with the new firmware without issues. Why not suggest waiting a month or 2 then update as opposed to not updating at all. Just an observation.

I would update my V3 Pro IF WYZE post on the forum that they found and fixed the issue of the March firmware bricking numerous members cams. I got my V3 Pro in 2022 at a cost of $58.66 including tax/shipping. I won’t take a chance of making it a brick for a firmware I don’t need, it works fine just as it is. :upside_down_face:
