This may sound dumb, but because of the waterproof cover over the setup button, it can be very hard to press it enough. If you do it with your finger, it will be very hard to press and hold it depressed enough. On my V3 cameras (I have a bunch), I use the end of a pair of needle nose pliers (flat point about 1/8 inch in diameter, not an actual needle point). That makes it very easy to press and hold the button in.

I will try that but my other v3 cameras reset just fine. Thanks for the tip.
Problem solved for one of the three. I tried connecting my old camv3’s as a cam4. Nothing, then I tried as a cam v3 pro, which they are NOT. And one connected and updated. Still won’t hard reset, nor did this work on the remaining two cameras. I CAN hard reset my other 8 cameras.
