I know there was/is an issue with the thermostat showing up as offline, I luckily never got that issue eventhough I’m using a Pixel 10a running the latest Android 17. The issue I’m having is with my schedule not running, I have three thermostats and all three I have set a new scheduled and non are running correctly. I have tried deleting the schedule blocks and recreating, I have restarted all of the devices via the app and manually and still nothing. Not sure if this issue can be tied to offline issue but wanted to see if anyone else is having the same problem. Thanks!
I was away from my Condo for 8 days and set my Thermostat to OFF with no Hold.
- I have been away many times before with these settings and no issues.
- However, this time the Thermostat kept going OFFLINE and coming back ONLINE after a few hours. This happened multiple times. Internet was working as my OG camera was working.
- I asked my Superintendent to turn the furnace breaker OFF/ON but the OFFLINE/ONLINE continued.
- When I returned on Mon Oct 19, the Thermostat was ONLINE:
- I power cycled by pulling it off the wall and plugging it back in.
- Switched to Cooling expecting the simple Home at 8am and Sleep at 11pm Schedules to resume.
- The Thermostat remained ONLINE but the Schedules didn’t work.
I tried solutions posted in other Topics:
- Factory Reset and set up again didn’t fix schedules.
- Not a time or time zone issue:
- Setting Hold until a specified date/time works.
- Schedule didn’t change over 24 hours.
I bought the Thermostat in Jan 2024 so it’s only 22 months old and warranty has expired!
Time to look for a replacement.
Interesting! I too had turned all three thermostats off as the weather was nice out for a while. Maybe that’s were the problem lies? Hoping someone from Wyze has an answer or maybe I may have to do a reset. Thanks for your reply!
Sorry you’re dealing with this on three thermostats at once. One thing worth checking, since you’d turned them off for the nice weather: as far as I know schedules only run while the thermostat is in Heat, Cool, or Auto, so set each one back to a mode (and make sure no Hold is active) before judging the schedule. It might also help to check that each schedule has the right days ticked and that the thermostat’s location and time zone in its settings match where you actually are. If it still ignores the schedule after that, I’d send logs from the app so Wyze can see it, since TerryL’s thermostat is acting the same way.
