When my thermostat tries to turn my AC on to cool the house it starts rebooting and going in a loop of rebooting over and over. When i finally got it to stop the reboot loop i tried turning on the heat and seeing what happens and it works normal. Switch to cooling and immediately after the safety cool down it starts the reboot loop again. Mind you that this system has been working since Dec 2020 with no issues until this evening.
Just a guess, but it sounds like your AC compressor’s contactor is taking too much current and pulling down the voltage from the transformer when the thermostat calls for cooling, causing the wyze to reboot. You probably need a new contactor or a larger transformer.

It was indeed the contactor

This little post right here just saved me a ton of money! I had the same symptoms. Replaced the contactor. Fixed it! Thank you!
