Does anyone have experience using a Wyze thermostat with the SmartHome app developed by Midea? I have a Bosch mini split (Midea is the manufacturer, Bosch badged), and want some capability to control it from a wall thermostat. The SmartHome app works fine, but the built in thermostat at the head unit does not accurately reflect the temperature in the room. When using the app to make adjustments to the settings, the remote controller seems to drop off its connection to the head unit. I would like Wyze to interface with the SmartHome app for some commands, and allow my head unit to read the temperature from Wyze to add/reduce heat and cool. Any reference to an existing posting or any personal insight would be appreciated. Thank you.
I’ll add that there is a beta version of an IFTTT/Wyze Tstat interface on the Midea SmartHome app. It would be great to hear from someone who has any experience with this and what functionality you have or weren’t able to make work. I have no IFTTT experience. I find that a lot of others don’t have a positive opinion of it. Thank you.
