Wyze Switch has power, connected to app, but not turning light on

Hi All -

I have a weird situation. I installed my Wyze switch (it’s replacing a standard single pole switch). My switch has power, I was able to add the switch to the app, I can control the switch from the app, but it is NOT turning the light on that it is connected to.

I removed the Wyze switch and re-installed the original switch and it turns the light on and off, so I’m not sure if I’m dealing with a defective switch.

I wanted to mention that the standard switch does not have a neutral wire. I connected the included “piggy back” wire to the existing bundle of wire’s secured by the wire nut.

I also checked the settings in the app that might cause this such as the 'classic control".

Just curious if anyone else has had an issue like this.
