Wyze switch flashing blue light when internet connection is lost

I really want to thank the person who thought that it is a good idea that the switch flashes a bright blue light when your internet connection goes down, brilliant!!!
I have one of these switches in my main bedroom, imagine the joy waking up in the middle of the night with a bright blue flashing light!
Yeah this switch is going somewheres else.

There this stuff called tape and if you go to walmart in their tape section you will have a huge choices to pick from like camo, white, black, green, whatever.

If you have no internet then you have much bigger concerns than a simple flashing light.

[MOD EDIT]

I had blue painters tape handy and stuck about 20 layers of tape to dim the light.
But you’re totally missing the point… defaulting to a bright blue flashing light is useless. Yeah I lost internet connection, which happens sporadically. But do I really need to know that when I’m asleep at 2am?

Question, as I have not tried this:

In the setting on the Wyze Switch, there is a setting for the status light on or off. If off, the status light should not function. However, I am not sure if it is different when Internet connectivity is out.

Have you tried turning this off to see if that helps?

For me, I don’t need to see a status light when the lights are on as I already know they are on.
