So, I purchased a number of switches a few years ago, but never installed them. Now, I finally installed one, and once I added the device to the app, it would not allow me to do anything because the firmware was outdated. Multiple attempts failed to upgrade the firmware. So, I deleted the switch from the app, reset the switch and tried again. Now I’m getting a “Bind switch error” and cannot even add the switch to the app.
Does anyone have any suggestions on clearing this error? Will I experience this same issue with all the other older switches? Maybe the Wyze app cannot upgrade firmware if it’s too old?
