The physical buttons on the controller itself for manually watering zones should be illuminated. Even in my well lit garage it is virtually impossible to see the black icons on the black buttons.
Also, it would be nice if the blue numbers that light up for the active circuit were brighter. They are currently quite dim and difficult to read at a glance. Maybe even variable brightness that you can control with the app?
So the buttons are only visible in bright light, the display is only readable in dim light. That is sort of amusing.
Absolutely agree. For the four buttons, I used a Sharpie silver paint marker to fill in the buttons’ markings, then wiped off the surface of the button… it looks pretty good.
The small illuminated zone numbers are ridiculous. My controller is outdoors, in an enclosure to keep it weatherproof, and in the bright sun they’re invisible.
