Can I have 2 Wyze Sense Hubs on the same account but in different locations? (Without Monitoring on both locations) I have one at my house (without monitoring) and want to put one in another house of mine (also without monitoring). I am getting conflicting data based on my search of posts here on the forum.
When I setup my first hub I never entered the free monitoring stage, I only use it for door sensors for triggering lights as well as motion sensing, and want to put one in another house.
Yes you can have Multiple hubs and have them in different locations.
For other readers’ information (this isn’t applicable to your situation), if you do have monitoring and still want more than 1 hub, only one of them will support monitoring. You can still have a second hub (or more than 2), but only 1 of them will work with the HMS monitoring subscription at a time.
Thanks for the reply!! My concern is I just recently got on with Support at Wyze and they told me it is not possible to do this even without monitoring.
And I made it abundantly clear to the support person over chat that I do not use monitoring at all. Thoughts?
The reason I question this is I’m still getting conflicting reports. I may just purchase a second one and attempt to install it and see what happens.
I’m not questioning the validity of your statement. I’m just questioning the multiple conflicting reports I get from authorized people people.
Many users here are running multiple hubs. @R.Good is running 3 hubs. I’m running 2. Someone on this forum is running over 10. The only restriction is only 1 can be connected to HMS (the monitoring service).
Forgot to say… it doesn’t matter if the hubs are in different locations or on different networks. As long as they are all setup to one account (userID/email address & password), they will all be accessible via the Wyze app using that same account. This applies to rules/triggers, schedules, notifications, etc. The only downside that I can think of is that if one of the hubs is tied to a slow remote network and you are using it for sensors/triggers, you may experience an additional 2-10 second delay in notification time to your phone/tablet.
