There are many issues going on with the Sense Hub \ HMS because of the last Firmware update. The FW caused more problems than it solved and the symptoms you described sounds like the FW did you in. Wyze has since pulled the FW update and has NOT offered a rollback or hotfix.
There are many threads and posts about trying to get thru the problems being experienced. But, a soft reset on the Hub seems to do wonders for some although it could take some time to get back in line.
Suggest you take a look at these posts and read thru the threads:
Your post reminded me it was still broke and I still had a sensor that failed paring. It prompted me to return to my hub… Still sitting there blinking at me in defiance.
Did a soft reset: Unplugged “Running on Battery Power”, pressed the reset until the infernal blinking stopped and unit reset. Waited a couple.minutes for it to wake up and get it’s bearings. Back to the app. Added a new sensor thru the path: Home Monitoring>Home Monitoring Settings>Home & Away>Your Sensors…Add. SUCCESS!…
Sense hub Firmware 4.32.8.213 issues. It appears that the FW update itself is causing the Hub to have issues where Rules and Notifications are not occurring. After trying to do a soft reset and watching the lights cycle multiple times, the issue does not go away. But not doing anything and waiting about 24 hours to 48 hours the Rules and Notifications seems to start working again.
Although current sensors seem to work now, the following issues still exists:
Unable to add new sensors to the…
Backed the home monitoring when it was first released and received the unit back in March. Due to a move to a new home I left it all in the box until now. Finally try to set it all up and noting works so far. Cant seem to get the hub to connect to my wifi it goes to “connection has timed out” within 6 seconds of entering the wifi password. After some troubleshooting reading forums and searching on google I figured out it may be my Google Nest wifi pucks not being on 2.4 GhZ so I tried the se…
We have been having a lot of issues with our home monitoring connection since the firmware update on 3/4/22. We can’t get our sensors to connect and now we can’t even pull up our monitoring application. I called customer service multiple times with very little usefulness after waiting a long time. They are going to send us a second new hub. I am hearing contradictory things. One person said they will update the firmware in 48 hours but that did not happen. The customer service agent I spoke with…
Trying to set up home monitoring. I have previously set it up but apparently the app lost its mind, yet again. I would like to not have to delete the HUB and re-install it because it trigger me to have to re-add all of the devices like door monitors and keypads…quite a bit of work. When I click on the MONITORING tab at the bottom of the app it prompts me to set up home monitoring but will not respond to my clicking Start Setup. It just stares at me.
I have been a pleased Wyze customer for years. So when the home monitoring was introduced, I ordered it and set it up. It worked well.
Then the Amazon outage happened, and nothing has been the same since then. After the services came back up, I experienced issues with some of the sensors blocking the mode switches.
Eventually, I could not switch the home monitoring mode by my app anymore, failing every time. However, doing it with the keypad still worked. At least - it was arming, and the hub …
