No apology is necessary! I’m glad you took the time to post an update, though. I like reading about solutions to problems, even if they don’t come from the Forum.
I never even considered this as a possibility, but I use only one scale. Now that you mention it, though, I’ve read some of @Seapup’s comments about using multiple scales and how the data is all collected in the same place. What doesn’t make sense to me, though, is why you could export your data from one scale’s settings screen but not another’s. 
In any case, I’m glad you finally got something to work!

I imagine other community members who have posted to that topic would appreciate your taking the time to comment (maybe even link to your post above) and vote (you can do that with the button above the initial post) for that feature request. I’d never heard of SmartScaleSync before I read your update (I’m also not a Garmin Connect user), but I see that it’s mentioned in that topic, too.
