extremely disappointed with wyze, I have a camera that is supposed to follow motion, it doesn’t it have wave areas and if it is for instance taping someone stealing in a “wave zone” if the camera is scheduled to move to another wave it doesn’t keep taping it moves!! no use. I also pay for 5 minutes taping at a time, I only get 3 minutes and the tech support says just clear your cache, no other help at all. The tapping cuts out even if it is in the middle of recording a person. And sometimes it doesn’t record anything all day for no reason!!
Is it a V3 pan?

I have 3 - V3 camera’s that installed in 2021. (July) It seems to me every year they get worse and worse. I pay the premium subscription each month. And I get random drops of the base to camera. Fully charged.. Wifi strong. I’ll be out of town and try and log in.. “Error code”
What good is a camera if it’s not reliable. I used to be an ARLO loyal brand guy. But liked Wyze. My loyalty to wyze is wavering.
I bought an amazon camera for $20 for my in the woods cabin. I pay 5$ a YEAR and this camera does so much better than my wyze..
I do love.. “Motion at front door” Open app.. click on camera… Loading.. 1,2,3rd attempt… Finally loads and the person is gone. The DELAY is real. I’ve spend $240ish a year on this service that is 75% available at best.
Let’s not get into that my cameras are too old to be able to look at them through their website.. Seriously?!

My Security Cameras are all Reolink 4k cams now
Dropped cam plus unlimited and use the V3’s for non-security uses like the barn, etc…
Wyze is nothing like it originally was, now just cheap junk with terrible subscription services ![]()
This is spot on. I was looking where to leave a review about Wyze cameras and their longevity. I just came off a chat with Wyze support because my Cam Pan is not working and cannot be factory reset. They concluded it’s a hardware error, but because it was purchased 3 years ago and it’s passed its warranty basically that’s expected and I should buy a new one. Not sure if I want to risk spending money on another device that might fail after the warranty expires. BTW, the camera looks brand new, no scratches on it nor was it tempered with.
They offer $5.00 towards the next purchase. Extremely disappointed.
