Wyze plug schedules not showing up and new ones not saving

Same exact situation, Log ID 2189664.

Message from their troubleshoot bot…
If your plugs are still not saving schedules after confirming both the app and firmware are up to date and the plugs are online, this may indicate a broader issue. At this time, there are no additional troubleshooting steps available beyond updating the app, updating the firmware, and power cycling the plugs.

If the problem persists after these steps, it may be a temporary issue with the Wyze app or cloud services. Please monitor your plugs and try creating schedules again after some time.

I’ve opened a case with support.

I noticed when setting up schedule that sunrise and sunset both show 7:00 pm. Location is enabled all the time.

Same thing for me. Actually all my plugs were on this morning when I got up. Discovered all schedules were gone. Tried adding a schedule and it would not appear after I added it. However, it does work even though Im not seeing it on schedule list. Hopefully there is someone paying attention at Wyse. This is first major bug I’ve experienced with Wyze in 5 years. Be a shame to have to find a new vendor :frowning:

I have 6 CFH plugs and all schedules on these devices disappeared after the app update on 2/3. Some were even turning on/off at random times as if there was a hidden schedule trying to run? I was able to delete the devices from the app and do a factory reset… seems to have resolved the problem on 3 of them but the other 3 are still stuck. All are on the latest firmware 1.2.0.236.

I think the Local Schedules that have been created on individual Plugs (Plug Outdoor in my case) are still there and will run as originally intended, as they’re local to the device, and I’m speculating that there’s a Plug ⇄ server ⇄ app communication problem.

For whatever reason (Who knows?!), several times today on two different phones (two different app versions, as noted above) I’ve been able to navigate in the app to the Schedules screen in a Plug Outdoor’s Settings and have seen the two test schedules I created yesterday while looking at this issue, but if I immediately check on another phone or back out of that screen and tap back in, the schedules aren’t populating and there’s a “Loading…” message while the app seems to be trying to retrieve the schedules from the device. Clearing the in-app cache hasn’t had any apparent effect.

Because I think it’s a communications glitch related to something server side, I’m hoping that sending logs to Wyze will be helpful in identifying the issue’s cause, and I’ve passed some of my own Log IDs up the chain.

Hi all,

We have located the cause of the issue and will fix it ASAP.

As for now, the schedule for plugs cannot be saved on Android. In iOS, the schedule is able to be created but if the schedule is related to the sunrise and sunset then the execution may be a bit off.

Will update here again once we fix the issue. Thanks!

Mine is doing the same thing. It’s been working fine for a few years. Ever since I bought them. All of a sudden the schedule is not working. I go into the app, reset the schedule but it won’t save it.

Frustrating!

Hi Everyone,

The issue should be fixed and now both Android and iOS can create and save schedules for plugs.

Also, the sunrise and sunset time should be able to displayed while setting the schedules.

Please let us know if the issue still persists in your app. Thanks!

Thank you for the quick update! I can confirm that I’m able to see Local Schedules on a Plug Outdoor now in Android Wyze app v3.10.5.749, v3.9.0.739, and v2.50.9.512. I also tested creating, editing, and deleting new Local Schedules on that Plug Outdoor using the v2.50.9.512 app, and it all worked as expected. :+1:

I’m happy to report that my wife plug schedule is now working again. Thank you for getting it taken care of. It was extremely frustrating when it went down. I could turn my landscaping lights on manually through the app, but the schedule was not working.

I’m glad it is working again.

Thank you for listening, Wyze.

Wyze plug, not wife plug. Sorry for the typo. Auto spell checker snafu!

However you choose to correct, I’m glad to know that your Wyze Plug schedule is working as intended.:+1:

I’ve been having the same thing happen. Started a few days ago.

having same problem with schedules, but also one of my devices is missing and another has wrong MAC address. Had to reinstall several Outdoor plugs too. BILL

Same here, schedules are there but not working… i have to turn on and off manually.

My outdoor plugs went back to normal. My indoor plug, I had to delete and recreate the schedules for them to work properly.
