My old Schlage deadbolt died and I just got the Wyze Palm Lock. So far it is great. But I have one curiosity.
The Palm Lock is supposed to work with Wyze Automations, for example, unlocking the deadbolt based upon a trigger. I have “Friendly Faces” (I think it’s called) enabled and my face registered in the Wyze app. I was trying to create an Automation rule whereby when my Wyze Video Doorbell V2 (Model WVDWDV2) would detect my face the rule would unlock the deadbolt. The doorbell does indeed recognize my registered face and the app does pop a notification when the system recognizes me at the door. But I am unable to find a face trigger for the doorbell when creating a rule. Am I missing something?
I don’t know if what you’re trying to do is possible. Did you read this topic?
I haven’t personally tried enabling Friendly Faces, and I don’t know if it’s possible to use those as Automations triggers, but I think this is an interesting question.
