I and my wife have recently changed phones from Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultras to S25 Ultras.
Both of us have the Wyze app and have auto unlock set for both of our front and back doors. The auto unlock feature worked reasonably well on the S24U phones, mostly unlocking the doors when one or the other returned home from being away.
Now, with the S25U phones, both doors unlock themselves at random while we’re still at home.
We’ve tried keeping the app always open. We’ve turned off and on auto unlock. We’ve set the battery usage of the app to unrestricted. We’ve turned off the phones GPS duty cycle which basically keeps GPS active all the time.
And yet the app seems to think we’ve left and returned home at random and unlocks both doors. This seems dangerous even though we have set auto lock to a few minutes.
So what’s going on? Never had this problem on the Samsung Galaxy S24U. Does the app need to be updated to aupport Android 15/OneUi 7?
This is getting pretty annoying. Four times today my front and back door Wyze locks have just automatically unlocked themselves as I’ve walked through my home. Maybe it’s time to look for a new smart lock from another company.
Basically the same thing. A whole bunch of random auto unlocks by the owner when I’m still at home sitting at my desk or just walking through the house… Wyze support have asked me to remove and re-add the locks, which I have done. Hopefully that solves it. It usually auto unlocks when I’m upstairs in bed at night.
Removing and re-adding the locks was no help. I opened my phone to check the time in the middle of the night, and the front door automatically unlocked. I went downstairs in the morning to get breakfast and the front door automatically unlocked. I’m sure this has something to do with the Samsung Galaxy S25 and Android 15/OneUI 7. This has never happened on any previous Samsung phone I have owned.
