Wyze Lock Bolt not working in cold temperatures

We’ve had a Wyze Lock Bolt installed for about 6 months on a detached garage. But this past week has been quite cold with temps getting down to the 0 F (-18 C) range, and now the lock deadbolt won’t retract fully. They keypad works: you can authenticate, it chimes, and the deadbolt moves. But it stops short of retracting fully.

I thought it was maybe a case of the batteries being very cold, so I plugged in a USB power bank to the emergency power port on the bottom - same issue. Luckily I have a smart garage door I could open to let myself in. And I discovered it’s not a battery issue - the deadbolt simply isn’t moving as far. Instead of traveling the full 0 to 100 range, it’s getting stuck in both directions (traveling between 10 to 90 instead).

The door has perfect alignment and there is no friction from rubbing or binding. It almost seems like there is some grease inside the lock itself which as become more viscous in cold weather and the motor isn’t enough to overcome it. Has anyone else experienced this? The tech specs say it can work down to -22 F.
