How well does the Wyze Lock bolt maintain a charge in cold weather?

I just purchased a Wyze Lock Bolt and it should be arriving today.
I live in NW Indiana where the winter temps can hit in the negative teens.
In comparison I have a ring doorbell at my front door (will be replacing one day with a Wyze front door cam) that is charged via the old doorbell power. The battery on that will hit zero percentage on a daily basis in the winter but the trickle of power coming from the old doorbell wiring is enough to keep it working all the time. I’ve had this doorbell now for something like 6 or 7 years and have never replaced the battery. The battery is currently at 100% and it says it’s healthy.
Now the lock bolt will be inside the screen door (but it’ll still get cold) but I’m worried that it will still needing to be recharged often though that it might create an issue with it having no power when I get home from work. I live alone so it’s a bigger issue than not.
I may have a solution if I can run the usb to inside the door. I would use something like a magnetic USB connector so it automatically charges when the door is closed.
Note that my front door is facing west and leads out onto a covered deck, so it doesn’t get much sun.
I’m not even sure how these charge as something I read says the port is on the outside for the key pad.

For those that have the Wyze Lock bolt, is cold weather an issue with these?

EDIT: It looks like a magnetic reed connector could work, but does anyone know how I would wire the USB cable to this?
EDIT2: Not sure why I didn’t think of this earlier but a wireless charging kit would work. I just need to find one that provides the right power that will fit in the door edge and the door frame.
