I bought the Lock Bolt and went to install it, and found the deadbolt latch has a faceplate installed that does not appear to be removable. Which is a problem for me since I have a metal door that I cannot chisel a mortise into. For this reason, many lock companies (Schlage, Kwikset, etc) allow you to remove the faceplate for “drive in” installation.

Wyze’s AI assistant claims this is possible, but it sure doesn’t seem like it’s meant to be removed. And I’m worried it’s going to break my deadbolt. Has anyone tried this?
