Wyze light socket shuts off camera

Hello Everyone,
After one week of use, my wyze lamp socket shuts off my V3 camera for between 10-30 minutes at various times. Firmware is up to date, nothing in “rules” for it to do this, and ive even tried selecting “off” in the socket controls in settings. I also tried to de-link it by powering off the socket for 30 seconds then powering on. I have no idea what to do at this point.

At first it seemed like a great idea on an enclosed porch. Light comes on when v3 detects motion, but that didnt work. So i set it up to stay on from 7pm to 7am. That didnt work either, the lamp would shut itself off but not the camera all night. So i just shut off the socket in the app, and now it shuts my camera off all the time, and some how still turns on light at times.

My wyze ap is up to date.
My socket and V3 firmware are up to date.
My wyze ap is not shared with third party.
My wyze camera and socket are not shared with any other user.
My socket shows steady voltage.
Wyze camera v3 shows full bars wifi connection.
Lolol. I have so many wyze products, but this is a first…literally no work around that i can find.

Did this start happening today? We did experience a pretty large outage today that may have caused issues, if they continue to persist I would recommend contacting our support team.

Hello,
I may have not properly expressed that this has been issue after issue since first installing. It has turned off light whenever it wants…even when it was set from 7pm to 7am. Then sometimes would shut the camera off too. I initially tried setting up it for motion activated…that did not work properly, next day was sun set to sun rise…that didnt work. Finally i set it to 7pm to 7am, and yet it will still turn itself and camera off sometimes. Even de-linking it has not worked. Its a very glitchy device. Love all my devices except V2 camera and this socket.

What fixture is this set up in now?

Does it power off the camera? Or just turn it off via the app? Those are different things and may help troubleshooting to know which one is happening.

Hello,
I have the standard 120V / 60Hz socket. The bulb that is plugged into the wyze socket is a 9 watt led. I have tried 3 different bulbs…3 watt 7 watt and then back to the original 9 watt. It does not shut down via the app. As i had stated, i went through all my rules and even turned the socket off…it will still shut the camera off periodically. The light will still come on periodically while in off position. When set to timer from 7am to 7pm, the light will still shut off periodically. There is no correlation between the light going off and the camera going off. Several times the light has been on, but camera off. Several times the light has been off but camera is on. My internet connection to it ranges from 348kb/s to 399kb/s and always shows full bars in device info. As mentioned previously the light bulb socket was tested for constant current, and it does maintain constant current according to electricians multimeter. I might add earlier i looked and the camera is greyed out in the app, and has indicator light off on camera when it shuts off from the wyze socket. This is different from last night when the camera simply said off, and i could switch it to on. All other cameras by wyze plugged into standard outlets are not experiencing any issues at all. I removed the usb from the socket, then pressed it back in and the camera was no longer greyed out. Wyze socket is buggy.

I’ve tried to give as many details as possible, but feel free to ask for more…would love for it to function as advertised.

Per Wyze site: “Make your exterior lighting smart”…so far its been the opposite.
