I would not expect that to be the issue in this case, but it’s possible. If you’re having the same difficulty now that you were several months ago (before the app version that you’re now using was released), then I think the root of the problem lies elsewhere.
If you don’t have a compelling reason to use the public beta Android app, then you could leave the beta channel in Google Play Store, delete the Wyze app from your tablet, and re-install it (you may need to wait a while before Google Play Store recognizes that you’ve left the beta program and are now on the regular public production app track; you might be able to hasten this by deleting the Google Play Store app cache, but I don’t know for certain if that would have an effect on this or not). Between deleting/installing, I’d also recommend rebooting your tablet and making sure it’s otherwise current with OS updates.
If/when I get to trying a Lamp Socket v2 setup, I’ll plan to use Android production app v3.10.6.753.

My understanding is that some Macs can natively run the iOS Wyze app, but I don’t have any devices in the Apple ecosystem to confirm this. If Wyze did a true desktop app, then my preference would be to have a Linux version, but if I want to control the current app from my PC then I just plug in my phone (connect it to the PC via USB) and use scrcpy.
