I went to do the firmware update on the update page and it says no devices on my account. But I have about 100 devices. Does anyone know how to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Can you do the following to see if the flood light Pro has been selected to receive Beta Updates?
Start the App
Go to Account
Scroll to the bottom and select About
Tap on Beta Program
Then go through the list of device types and make sure there is a green Check to the right of it.
I personally do a Unselect All, located at the top right, then do the Select All (Unselect will change to Select) to make sure all devices have been selected. If you want to select certain devices then simply check the square to select it.
Then click the save button and it should back you out. to the about page.
After you do this, you will need to wait for a period of time to make sure the servers are updated with the beta requests and you should see it.
If no devices are showing in the list at all (I imagine you’re looking in the app at Account ➜ Firmware Update), then I wonder if there’s a profile error that could be resolved by clearing your caches. That’s probably the first thing I’d try.
This is how I tend to clear my Wyze app caches on Android (click/tap to expand):
Clear the in-app cache: From the Wyze app’s home screen, navigate to Account ➜ App Settings ➜ Cache File Size ➜ Clear.
Swipe the Wyze app out of the running Android apps.
Long-press on the Wyze app’s launcher icon (on the phone’s home screen or wherever you tap to initially open the app) and then tap App info in the pop-up menu.
Tap Force stop on the App info screen (may need to tap OK to confirm) and then tap Storage & cache.
Tap Clear cache on the Storage screen.
Back up one screen (back to App info) and then tap Open to re-launch the Wyze app.
Note: I don’t know what the options would be for modifying these steps on iOS since I don’t use that platform. If using iOS/iPadOS, you should be able to clear the in-app cache with Step 1, and that may help.
Sometimes I stop at just clearing the in-app cache, and often that’s sufficient, but occasionally I’ll clear the OS-level app cache, too.
I would also follow the steps that @Crease provided. Clearing the cache from within the app and then from the App Info location, for Android, normally clears the anomalies up.
Sometimes the Cache gets corrupt and requires this on occasion.
Curious, what App version are you using?
I am on App Version: 3.16.0.890 which is the Android Wyze App.
I just used my older tablet and the list shows up.
I’m guessing it’s either my pixel 10xl being on a beta or the app isn’t playing nice with it. At least I can update. I’ll see what the next app update does. Thanks
