Yes, the settings icon next to the camera is fine.
I initially could not get this working. I am on a dedicated 100/20 fibre optic internet connection. I decided to reduce the stream settings on each of my cams (V2 and Pan Cam)
They will only stream via GoogleChromecast when the streams from the Cams are set to 360, not SD or HD
Obviously the vision is very pixelated as a result, coupled with the 15 sec lag mentioned above.
Thatās strange, how far is the chromecast from the router? Are you streaming 1 at a time or multiple?
Not a Canadian here, and yet every time I am saying Assistant to cast one of my cameras to a Chromecast-enabled TV, I got this (the timer on screen is increasing, but no picture regardless of wait time):
@spooky6682 and anyone else:
Just created this video for those who have trouble adding Wyze Home to your Google Home: How to add Wyze Home to Google Home app - YouTube
Been having the same issue for weeks now. Iāve tried everything to resolve it to no avail. @Frederik / @UserCustomerGwen care to take a look in to this?
This is very much like a bandwidth issues. :-/
Is it connecting at some point and manage to show at least a picture of the camera or is it always on that caching page?
In my case it never loads any pictures, it is just stuck in a loop showing the blank caching page and slider.
The camera has 3.7mbps upload bandwidth allocated and I donāt have any issues loading multiple streams via TinyCam or the Wyze app - it should be enough to load the stream?
The only other thing is that the cameras are behind a double NAT but I havenāt had any issues with regards to this.
It worked initially in early beta but then stopped towards the end of beta.
Google assistant is not connecting wyze.
It goes through the process of linking and just kicks you out. When you return back to the menu, wyze is not linked.
Note all wyze cam 2 are up to date.
Me too have double NAT (access point behind another access point). But did not have any problems related to the network configuration with other software.
A little more detail.
I was successful in loading the stream when the camera is set to 360p. After the stream loaded I set it back to HD and the stream quality improved and remained stable.
It would appear to be a bandwidth issue upon initiating the stream, however when the stream is initiated in 360p it can be set to HD without any issues.
Will try this hack later today. But then again it looks like an infrastructure issue than a bandwidth issue. I once had something similar when service providerās infrastructure was detecting my location incorrectly (through dynamic DNS or something), so that my traffic (I am in Europe) was routed to service providerās infrastructure in Hong Kong, causing like 300-400ms round-trip time.
Morning all. So I see that a number of issues have to do with bandwidth and video quality. However, I am still having an issue in that I cannot get Google and Wyze connected in the Home app. Iāve tried to make the account connection on both a Pixel 3 and a Samsung Chromebook. Since yesterday afternoon I get the same error as many others Iām seeing online, āCouldnāt update the setting. Check connection.ā
Any thoughts?
Keep trying, eventually it works.
Weird, I unlinked and linked my account 4 times making that instructional video I posted above⦠and it took like 5 seconds each time.
I have the same exact issue on my Pixel also. Is says it linking then kicks me out without anything linked.
Mine is a Pixel 2
Nice job, clearly done. The process might need repeating for some if the servers are busy but this is exactly what needs done for google home on Android devices.
Anyone else still having issues? Canāt get the Wyze account set up in Google home. Iām stuck. Trying on my Pixel 3 since yesterday, Chromebook since this am, and trying via the wifeās iPhone all evening. Halp!!
Iām still having problems canāt get it to work. I managed to connect it to my Google Assistant but be on that it wonāt do anything.
Iām of the mind that if this many people are having this many problems it doesnāt work, so Iām not sure what they mean by āFinally Works with Google Assistantā.
