Recently replaced my outdoor cam with a duo and after a few hours it gets stuck. When I try see video it’s stuck at 3 of 3. I can click restart In the app and it restarts the cam and it works so I know it has connectivity. Not sure what is wrong. Anyone else get a similar issue?
I am sorry this is happening. I would try contacting our support team at 206-339-9646

In addition to contacting Support, which I think is a good idea, I have two other thoughts:
- Are you using the power adapter that came with Duo Cam Pan? Many of the non-Pan Wyze Cams ship with 5V ⎓ 1A power adapters, but Duo Cam Pan uses a 5V ⎓ 1.5A adapter. Sometimes the extra current draw on an under-powered adapter can cause glitches like connectivity drops, especially if the motors are engaging for pan/tilt.
- When did you last clear the cache(s) for the Wyze app? Sometimes I find that doing this will improve the Live Stream screen loading experience.
This is how I tend to clean my account caches on Android (click/tap to expand):
- Clear the in-app cache: From the Wyze app’s home screen, navigate to Account ➜ App Settings ➜ Cache File Size ➜ Clear.
- Swipe the Wyze app out of the running Android apps.
- Long-press on the Wyze app’s launcher icon (on the phone’s home screen or wherever you tap to initially open the app) and then tap App info in the pop-up menu.
- Tap Force stop on the App info screen (may need to tap OK to confirm) and then tap Storage & cache.
- Tap Clear cache on the Storage screen.
- Back up one screen (back to App info) and then tap Open to re-launch the Wyze app.
Note: I don’t know what the options would be for modifying these steps on iOS since I don’t use that platform.
Sometimes I stop at just clearing the in-app cache, but occasionally I’ll do the OS-level app cache, too.
Your topic title says “not recording”, but the body of your post doesn’t go into detail about that. How are you trying to record? Are you using a subscription for recording cloud events, using a microSD card for local recording, or both? Are you actually having problems with the recording experience, or is the issue all about connecting to live view?
Hey yes I used the power supply and cable that came with it.
I will try to clear cache but the camera stops. When I go outside it doesn’t follow me. I have to reboot or disconnect the camera from the power and reconnect and it immediately connects
So what you’re really describing is a connectivity issue and not a recording issue, is that correct?
Yes, clearing the cache seems a good option. You can also try reformatting the SD card, updating the firmware, and power cycling the camera. If it still freezes, do a factory reset — that usually fixes the “stuck at 3/3” problem.
No not connectivity. Seems like the camera internally is stuck. It stops following .
I’ve removed the SD, same thing happens without sd
Firmware is up to date. Is something with the camera itself.
