Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell will no longer attach (click) to its backplate

Problem: My 2.5 year old Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell would no longer attach (click) to its backplate.

Solution for my Wyze cam: Using a 2 mm Phillips head precision screwdriver (like you would use for watches), carefully remove the 4 tiny screws holding the small, plastic backplate from the camera. This plate holds the latching mechanism in place. Make sure to do this on a table or other surface where you can’t lose the screws. Using the screwdriver, gently pry the latching mechanism from the recess it is in. Note that when I did this, the spring and the latch flew out and I had to search for them. To avoid my problem, maybe you can cover them with your other hand while prying them out. The spring is designed to keep the latch pushed upward to engage the connection on the backplate. Stretch the spring to a length that is a little bit longer than its factory length. Reassemble everything and, if your problem is the same as mine, the camera body should properly latch to the backplate.
