Speaking of this: Alexey just released tinyCam v18.1.0 yesterday and added support for the Pan V4 Cam now. I think that means all wired cams are now supported:
RTSP support is nice, now you don’t have to give out your wyze login info and everything just stays local. Of course that won’t work for v4 or Panv4 yet, hopefully soon.

First of all thanks to whole wyze team for taking the initiative to get rtsp support. This will certainly get some DUI enthusiasts back to wyze specially after the disappointment of hearing of no upkeep of rtsp firmware going forward so much appreciated. We are into May’26 now any update of getting RTSP to V4’s .I know this isn’t a priority for Wyze but any beta version which we can try to get rtsp support

Incorrect. RTSP was most certainly available for V4, and very useful. I too did the firmware update and it disappeared. Being on the WYZE team and not knowing the product is almost as ridiculous as removing the feature in the most recent firmware update.
They haven’t even had a beta RTSP firmware for the Cam v4. What firmware version were you seeing it in?
We are still working on the version for v4, I would like to know what firmware version you had with RTSP so I can look it up. I just checked all the ones I have access to since I do the releases and I do not see one. Were you flashing a third party firmware?
Are you talking about getting RTSP on the v4 through something like docker Wyze bridge or Tiny Cam or a similar 3rd party system? That’s how most people were getting rtsp on the V4, and firmware updates broke that ability for some people. That sounds like what you were describing.
But Wyze has not publicly had or released RTSP for the v4 officially yet. The employee on the rtsp team and one of the co-founders of Wyze last said they’re working on it but haven’t released it yet, even to beta. So if you did see it available, either you were in a very exclusive test group that received special access and whitelisting (you’d know if this was the case and probably have had to get special firmware and possibly a special app, and been involved in special feedback groups), or It was a very strange accident and you are one of the only person of millions to have gotten lucky, because I’ve been dying for The official version to get released through the company and keep checking and haven’t seen it yet 
please tell us what firmware you saw this on and what Wyze app version number had it in the settings so I can flash my camera back to that firmware and manually side load that app version so I can use it too. 
The Tapo C121 I bought to evaluate does RTSP out of the box

Great replacement for the Wyze Cam V4
Costs about the same
No subscription needed to UNHOBBLE the camera
No silly 5 minute cool-down without subscription
If you really want you can subscribe to their cloud service to retain videos longer than the SD card as old videos are written over by new. But cloud service isn’t that necessary especially if you store on your own drive NVR, etc…
A inexpensive alternative to Wyze that’s far better 
I hate to agree with you 
but judging by my neighbour’s and nephew’s experience with Tapo cameras, that’s where I’m heading to next year. Why next year, that’s when Cam Lite is slated to end its existence.
One thing that I really love about Tapo cams is that the notifications are instant due to their on board AI.
No need to wait until next year. Wyze and Tapo cameras work fine side-by-side. My WiFi router is at the other end of my house one floor down from this picture.
I am still satisfied with Wyze v3 cameras on Cam Plus Lite. Tapo cameras with No subscription would meet my security hobby needs if Wyze were to eliminate Cam Plus Lite.
But the Wyze came with a free mounting system

I feel the same way too. I was going to buy a couple extra Cam v3 cameras for when my current v3 cameras die. My oldest v3 is 4.5 years old, so i am probably on “borroewed time”.
With the discussion around if Cam Plus Lite will still be offered after next year made try a different brand.
For me, this gives me a chance to try a different brand and have spare cameras on hand to put in prime loctions i want monitored.
Oh, I know they are better than Wyze. As I said, my neighbour at the cottage have them and my nephew just switched from Wyze to Tapo.

I have already made up my mind, but I don’t need extra cameras. When the Wyze cams start dying I’ll replace them with Tapo. Definitely when the Cam Lite gets scrapped away.
