Wyze Cam v3 Pro Beta:

Why can’t I find the link to download the updated test app?!?!
Welcome to the Forum, @daviddc114!
Since you note your use of Android in your profile, I wonder if you’ve joined the Beta Program for Android. If you’ve done that, then I think Google Play should offer you the latest available beta app if its version supersedes that of the latest production release, and I think that using the beta app is what allows you to install beta firmware—which is the subject of this topic—on applicable devices.
Are you looking for the Test App and the Beta FW?
As @Crease indicated, you need to join the Beta by going here: Become a Beta Tester for Wyze Products & Releases, assuming you have not joined up. Once you have joined and Android recognizes you as a Beta for Wyze, you will then start getting the apps via the Beta Firmware for. After saving your selection, you will then be provided Beta FW for your devices.
I selected all devices as I like seeing what is coming.
Thanks for this news!
I have been battling for many months but since the 24th of July my V3 Pro has been perfect; no breakup and the events record perfectly in terms of duration. Did this update possibly go hand in hand with some tweaks on the backend because I am still on the same firmware.
Whatever it is, solved my problem. Thanks!
Glad I saw this.
I just last week updated my four V3 Pro’s with the most current Android app and the two latest firmware versions. I am not positive, but I believe the second, most current firmware update caused all four cameras to record events, that play back approximately 2-3 seconds normally and then jump approximately 3-5 seconds ahead. It’s pretty annoying.
I am not one to beta test, so good luck to you guys and I hope it gets fixed, thanks for testing things for the rest of us!
My v3Pros are recording events without skips, including 2+minute events. 4.58.14.4111
Interesting. I wish that were the case for me.
For beta testers…
I restarted cameras, cleared cache, time sync, reset features, and I logged out of, and back into the app after the updates.
The behavior is on all four cams, every time I VIEW an event from the event page or home page per camera. If I download the event, or view it on the SD card, there is no multi-second skip or frame jumps. Not sure technically how to word that.
I have a Moto G Stylus 2024, Android 14 and a Lenovo Tab Plus 2024, Android 14 both devices do the same thing.
It seems that the V3 pro has the most firmware releases. My sole V3 Pro is currently in storage due to numerous issues.
I get tired of updating the firmware, mounting it, only to remove again it days later.
Then leave it up and connected as your tester.
It can’t hurt you to leave it on, have it stare at a tree or something.
Mounting and removing problem solved!
Not a good option for me; I monitor an outside area with that camera location. Two cameras would scare people.
Besides, I have newer, better models that can take its place.
