I have 3 wyze cams. And my porch one, people walk in front of it and they do not get tagged as people. I even have enabled notifications for people, have not gotten one on over 2 weeks. Anyone have a cam that their person detecton stopped working?
Out of curiosity, does the video from your camera still show the “xnor.ai” logo next to the Wyze logo? (If you’ve toggled the logo off, toggle it back on and see if the xnor.ai logo appears as well.)

Mine only detect people during the day, I have been going nuts trying to figure out how to get it working with night vision. I just installed mine yesterday.
That’s pretty normal. The person detection isn’t perfect. It works at night, but the accuracy is certainly reduced, which makes sense. It’s harder for humans to recognize people at night, too.
If you increase your ambient lighting or get an external IR illuminator, you may be able to increase the accuracy
Yes the logo is there. And i have 3 wyze cam. Only this one of them is not detecting people anymore.
Ive tried rebooting it as well. And in the middle of the day i stand right in front of it and stare at it. And still does not detect as person. Only motion.
Hmm. In that case, it’s hard to say. If the xnor.ai logo is showing, that generally indicates person detection should be active on the camera. Have you tried toggling “Person Detection” off and on again in the Account >> Wyze Services menu? That’s the only thing I can really think to try.
If that doesn’t work, you may want to contact support

Are you aware of the cooldown period? I’m wondering if your conditions weren’t right before. If a person walks in front of the camera during the cooldown period, you won’t get a notification, for example.
Whats the cool down period?
After the camera records a 12-second event to the cloud, there’s a 5-minute cooldown period before it will send another one. This is what the notifications are based on as well, although if you have an SD card, you’ll still have videos that occurred during the cooldown period.
You can also get the Complete Motion Capture service which eliminates the 12-second limit and cooldown period on cloud videos. That would also increase your notifications.

yes i am aware of cooldown period. that was not the issue.
it was not detection people AT ALL. nothing, zip, 0, zilch
but it started working all by itself
