WYZE Cam v2 Beeps about ever 10 minutes. This is not caused by motion as no one is in room. I updated the FW yesterday, however, did not start beeping till today. Did not beep yesterday before the update. I have reset from the WYZE App and by disconnecting and then reconnecting - Still beeps. This camera has the WYZE Sensor Bridge plugged in it. Also beeps every 10 minutes with bridge removed.
Welcome to the Wyze community @Oldnuc!
Does the camera still function properly(other then the beeping)?
Try flashing the firmware manually.
@Brlepage,
After thd third time of trying to reset it , it now appears to be locked in the IR, nighttime, mode. At least it no longer beeps.
How do I reflash the FW?
Before you do all the possibly not-needed firmware flashing/update, FIRST replace the power-block (wall adapter). That solved my problem (Wyze uses cheap/failing power-blocks).
If you do perform the firmware flash (if power-block replacement doesn’t work), remember afterwards to remove the SD card and delete “demo.bin” file, then put the disk back in; otherwise, every time the camera reboots it will only boot from that old file (you will not retain any later updates).
Welcome to the forum!
You do realize that this almost four years old thread. I’d imagine the original poster has solved the issue by now
I hate when I do that. I can get lost in the thread and realize the stuff I read was 4 years old
Good that they occasionally close off old threads after 3 months.
Yeah, I’ve been “tempted” to resurrect older threads as well
I commented (4-years later) because the problem still exists, and my comments may help others with a fix.
You should’ve mentioned that so not to confuse anyone else. Your post was a bit vague.
