Wyze Cam v2 4.9.4.108 and Wyze Cam Pan 4.10.3.108 Released!

Update experience:
Updating my V2 to 4.9.4.108 was normal. Worked as expected.

Updating my Pan-cam to 4.10.3.108 was problematic. On the first attempt, the update process started as usual. The progress bar progressed to about 30%. The camera was heard going through the reboot cycle. But the update screen vanished and I was back looking at the Detail page, showing the previous version was still installed. No error message was displayed to indicate that the update had failed. For good measure, I restarted the camera. No change - it still had the previous version. I went through the update procedure a second time, and this time it worked.

Hey Gwendolyn,

Offhand, do you know if they ever relaxed the security settings that changed local storage to precisely duplicate cloud recording for playback footage?

All Cam Pan firmware releases beyond v4.10.3.40 pretty much rendered playback useless to me; next to nothing got recorded. As an IT administrator, I’ve had to adopt an “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” policy to Wyze since that time.

I’ve got cases and thread input from the v4.10.3.46 beta release detailing my findings. Curious to know if there’s been any improvement on that front?

How to turn Blue Bridge Light Off (version info below correct as of 7/9/19):

  1. Upgrade firmware on camera to version 4.9.4.108

  2. Upgrade firmware on bridge to version 0.0.0.33

  3. Upgrade Wyze app to version 2.4.65

  4. In Wyze app, go to camera that has bridge attached.

  5. Go to that camera’s settings (upper right corner)

  6. Select Extended Devices (at bottom)

  7. Select Wyze Sensor Bridge

  8. Toggle Bridge Status Light to off

The reason me and others were unable To find the Bridge light toggle Yesterday Was because The new app had not been pushed out yet

My pan cams have updated to 4.10.3.108 and there is no where I can find a way to enable person detection ain’t. I was so excited to see this is supposed to be available and very disappointed I can’t see it. Help please!

Do you have today’s version of the app? (v2.4.65 for iOS, v2.4.82 for Android) To see the most recent version in the iOS app store, pull down to refresh the list of apps to be updated.

Yes, I have also had that same problem occur with each update but I am never worried about it because in the end coming back to check it the update has completed itself.

Thank you so much for this simple yet detailed information

So I will need to delete my sensors and move the bridge to a ver 2 camera so I can turn status light off?

Will an updated firmware be available for ver 1 cameras with that feature?

I had the same issue when updating my pan cam.

How do you get all to update at once ? I have to do all 10 of mine 1 at a time.

Tap on account , then Firmware upgrade When there go to the bottom And tap upgrade all

Tip: on most phones, you won’t see Extended Devices unless you scroll down.

Yes, it happens regularly with Pan Cam. I opened a Wyze Ticket 226103.

After updating to newest firmware, lost half the sound volume on my V2s. I can normally hear a conversation at a persons normal speaking voice, now it’s half as loud and can’t hear anything clear enough. Going to have to roll back the update now.

Sorry to hear that. Could you please try to revert the firmware to the previous version to have a comparison? Here is the instruction on how to flash the firmware via SD card. Thank you for your help. Please let me know if you have any questions. https://support.wyzecam.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022732931-Wyze-Cam-Firmware
