Wyze Cam Pen v2 red light stable and stopped work

Hi Guys,
I got purple video and after that the camera stopped work
I tried to set a factory reset with no success
I tried to update firmware (manually) with no success
Need help from expert
Thanks a lot
Yehuda

Purple video indicates that the Night vision IR filter got stuck in place when the mode switched back to daytime recording. You should try toggling the night vision mode on then back off and see if that fixes it. Otherwise, consider holding it upside down and tapping the camera firmly, but not TOO HARD. That might jostle the lens back up.

All that is assuming your camera is no longer under warranty. If you think it’s still under warranty, contact support before you risk doing something that might void the warranty.

I’ve also read of holding a magnet against the camera body to move the IR filter into or out of place. I think I saw a demo video posted on Reddit once where someone was intentionally using a magnet for this effect.

Unfortunately the warranty passed before 5 months after 1 year.
The Wyze technical support didn’t try too hard to solve their bug and my problem and suggested to give me $5 gift.
I ask my self if I should by a new camera every year and 5 months? :man_shrugging:

The status of the camera now:
Exists power - stable red light
Camera doesn’t responding to reset or manually firmware upgrade.

No purple now, it was, and now there is power, red light but the camera doesn’t responding.
