I’ve had my first Wyze Cam for about 6 weeks now. This past week the noise from the Pan motor has gotten worse (louder). Now, this past couple of days the camera will no longer pan. The motor activates and makes a noise but there is no turning motion. If I manually turn the camera sometimes it will start working again but not for long. I submitted a support request but wanted to post here to see if anyone else has experienced this issue and if anyone had a suggestion on how to fix this. I’m sure its a mechanical failure but thought it worth a shot to ask.
I have a ticket number but the email advised 5-7 days wait time on Tech Support. I’m an IT guy, been working in IT 30+ years. 5-7 days to respond to a ticket is an indication Wyze is not investing in its (support) employees. Running so lean that it takes over a week just to get to a new ticket must not be a good environment to work in.

@UserCustomerGwen
Gwen can you help shed light on this issue, I’m guessing its going to be a simple return. Can you help?
EDIT: Looks like you’re already in contact with a replacement specialist! You should be set.
Based on your description, I agree that this sounds like a quick replacement case. Thanks for tagging me in! I’ll check on your ticket now.
We’re working on hiring more folks and looking forward to that impact. It still rocks working for Wyze, though!
Yes, I’ve been contacted by Chris. Thanks for following up. BTW love the hair color, my son has Tourette Syndrome and the support color is Teal
You’re welcome! I’m always happy to help out.
Thank you for complimenting my hair! I love the blue and while I don’t have personal experience with Tourette Syndrome (that I’m aware of) I would proudly wear teal in support.
