Wyze Cam Pan Device Initialization Rotation on Power-up

When I plug the Cam Pan V2 into power outlet, it does a half-turn rotation and then appears to hit some obstruction, after which it sort-of grinds and vibrates and goes no further. Then it rotates back around to the initial position.

Is this normal? Or is the camera defective?

It is setting it’s right and left stop limits in the step motors when it initializes so it knows where to calculate “home” position in case it was turned manually when off.
